This page explains what data Cashflow holds about you and how to delete it. It is provided to satisfy the data-deletion-request requirement of the App Store and Google Play.

What data Cashflow holds about you

The Cashflow mobile apps for iOS and Android store your financial data — accounts, transactions, categories, scheduled transactions, and app settings — on your device only. We do not run a server that stores this data, and we do not have a copy of it.

If you have created backups, those backup files live in one of the following places, all under your control:

  • On your device, if you saved a local backup file.
  • In your iCloud Drive (on iOS), under your Apple ID.
  • In your Google Drive (on Android), under your Google Account.

The website (cashflow.ndl.cc) does not require an account. Website analytics (Google Analytics 4 pageview data) and any support correspondence you’ve sent us are the only forms of data we may hold that are tied to you.

How to delete data on your device

Uninstall the app. Removing Cashflow from your device deletes the local database along with it — every account, transaction, scheduled item, and setting is removed. Nothing Cashflow stored is left behind on the device.

This permanently removes the in-app data. There is no undo, so export a backup first if you want to keep a copy (see Backup & Restore).

How to delete cloud-backed backups

Cloud backups live in your own cloud storage account, not ours. To remove them:

iOS (iCloud Drive):

  1. Open the Files app.
  2. Browse to iCloud Drive.
  3. Find the Cashflow folder (or any file named cashflow-backup-*).
  4. Move it to Recently Deleted and empty that folder to remove it permanently.

Android (Google Drive):

  1. Open Google Drive.
  2. Find the Cashflow backup file (typically in the app’s Drive folder or under “My Drive”).
  3. Move it to Trash and empty Trash to remove it permanently.

After cleanup, no backup file remains in your cloud storage.

How to request deletion of any data we hold

Because the Cashflow mobile apps do not transmit your financial data to us, there is typically nothing on our side to delete. The only data we may hold is:

  • Website analytics — anonymous pageview data collected by Google Analytics 4. If you are a California or EU/UK resident exercising your right to deletion, we can request that this analytics data be removed.
  • Support correspondence — any email you have sent us. We retain support email for as long as needed to help resolve issues.

To request deletion of either, open Cashflow on your device and go to Settings → Send Feedback. Pick General Feedback as the type and start your message with “Data deletion request”. Include enough information for us to find what we hold about you (the email address, if any, you used for previous correspondence). We aim to complete deletion within 30 days of receiving the request and will confirm once it is done.
