What Cashflow does
A short tour of the things Cashflow gets right. None of this is novel — it's the boring fundamentals of a check register, done with care.
The check register, alive again
Every transaction shows the three balances that matter at the moment it posted: current (everything entered), cleared (what your bank has confirmed), and ending (where you'll land once pending items go through). The transaction list scrolls fast, search finds what you remember, and the column you care about is always one glance away.
Multiple accounts, one ledger
Track checking, savings, credit cards, and cash side by side. Transfers between accounts post as a single linked pair — change the amount in one place and the other updates with it. Each account keeps its own running balance, and the dashboard rolls them up so you can see the whole picture without leaving the register behind.
Scheduled transactions
Set up rent, the electric bill, the streaming subscription you keep meaning to cancel. Cashflow keeps the series running and posts each occurrence into the register on its date. Need to bump one month's payment? Edit just that occurrence. Got a permanent raise? Edit the series. Skipping a single instance doesn't break the rest. The decision is yours every time, and the question is asked clearly.
Backup & restore
Export a full backup to your device, to iCloud Drive on iOS, or to Google Drive on Android. Restore the same backup on the same device or on a new phone of the same platform. Your data never passes through a Cashflow server because there isn't one. The full flow is documented step by step.
Free vs Paid
The free version is ad-supported and includes the core check register. The paid version removes ads and adds extras. See the full comparison.
